Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Pandey

                Senior Fellow

Prof DK Pandey was Group Captain in India Air Force. He was commissioned in IAF in 1986 and served for more than three decades. He has commanded six Air Defence (C&R) Units and was awarded Best Unit Trophies twice. He was Director Air Staff Inspections and retired as Director, Joint Control and Analysis Center. He was commended by CAS and AOC-in-Cs of Western Air Command and South Western Air Command. He was professor in School of Business (Aviation Management) at Galgotias University. He has written research papers for journals and websites. As ‘Defence & Strategies Analyst’, he has participated in national TV channels debates since 2019 covering Aerospace, Air Defence & Drone Operations.

Presently he is ‘Senior Research Fellow’ at Centre for Air Power Studies(CAPS) governed by a trust, Forum for National Security Studies (FNSS).

Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) was established in 2001 as an autonomous defence research and analysis body for research and focused analyses on issues related to national security, defence, and aerospace issues in the evolving strategic and international security environment. Its objective is to facilitate greater understanding of these issues amongst the Armed Forces, the strategic community and the public besides contributing to policy generation and decision-making.
