Group Captain (Dr) Rajneesh Kumar, a seasoned officer has served for over three decades in various field echelons of IAF followed by experience of serving in the coveted Inspection & Safety, Plans as well as Operational Logistics Branches at Integrated Head Quarters (Air) under Ministry of Defence in addition to a tenure each at a Functional and an Operational Air Command. The officer has earned a Doctorate in India’s Energy Security contextualising Central Asia. He is an awardee of the Fellowship of University Grants Commission. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science & International Relations with Merit position from the University of Allahabad followed by another Master’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication. He has actively written on contemporary issues in print media from 1986-91. He has special interest and specialisation in issues related to National Security, Energy Security, Regional geo-politics, Aerospace Power and Central Asian Affairs. He has published research papers on various contemporary Strategic topics in journals of national and international repute and is still continuing. He has also chaired the National Conferences organised by reputed universities & academic institutions.

He holds the coveted membership of the institutions of national repute that include- Manohar Parrikar Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis, United Services Institution of India, Indian Institute of Materials Management, and the Aeronautical Society of India.
Group Captain (Dr) Rajneesh has successfully completed a deputation to the Cabinet Secretariat Government of India.

He is presently positioned as a Senior Fellow at Centre for Air Power Studies New Delhi, functioning under the Forum for National Security Studies where he is conducting advanced Research & Analysis of India’s Strategic interests in Central Asia .
