Dr Poonam Mann

Associate Fellow

Dr. Poonam Mann is working as an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), New Delhi (India). She is engaged in academic research on Central Asian region, Caucasus and Eurasia. She has eighteen years of research-cum-academic experience of working on the issues of security and strategy in International Relations. Before joining CAPS, she worked as a researcher in the Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA), lecturer of Political Science in Hans Raj Mahila Mahavidyalaya (HMV College), Jalandhar City, Government College, Tanda UrMur, Dev Samaj College for Women, Chandigarh, Summer Fields School, New Delhi  and Air Force School, Jaisalmer. She has published various research papers on a wide range of security and strategic issues and contributed chapters in edited volumes. She has presented papers in various national and international seminars and participated in Track-II dialogues with multilateral institutions like Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). She has authored a book titled, “India’s Foreign Policy in the Post-Cold War Era”.

   She holds a Ph.D from the Department of Political Science, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
